Dictatorship or Democracy You Choose
In the past I wrote an editorial called “Count Your Blessings One by One”. The article talked about the many blessings we have living here in the United States and our freedom to live our lives as we please; worshipping where we want, eating and living as our income allows, etcetera. That was June 2011 during the Obama Administration right after U. S. Navy Seals took out Osama Ben Laden.
Now today, 2022, many U.S. citizens, I included, have had to rethink our safety and what freedoms the future holds for our children and grandchildren. Why? For four years we had a man named Donald John Trump for a president of the not perfect, but the greatest country in the free world, a country that was founded on the principal “In God We Trust”. The founding fathers set up the government of this country to ensure equal powers with three branches of government, the executive branch, judicial branch and the legislative branch. This was done to ensure the government is effective and citizen’s rights are protected. Each branch has its own powers and responsibilities including working with the other branches. The man we had heading the executive branch put himself and money above the people’s rights and almost wrecked the judicial branch and legislative branch through propaganda and conquer and divide tactics. Many of us knew much of nothing about Russia past the fact that it was ruled by one dictator named Vladimir Putin. Vladimir Putin said publicly that Ukraine belongs to him. Then Vladimir Putin bombing began bombing and murdering thousands of innocent people in the free country of Ukraine.
Now through specific details shown through live news reports, we find that the tactics our former president used against the people of the United States appears to have been setup from a playbook written by Vladimir Putin. The former president tried to over-ride the voting power of the people. Congressional Committees say he ordered some state (Georgia) election officials to replace legitimate electors with fake ones and persuaded and recruited through propaganda, innocent, unable to think for themselves people, to break into the capital of the United States of American on January 6, 2020, with the intent to hang the vice president and speaker of the house as the dictator Putin would do. All of this he did to try to stop a legitimate election by the people, remain in power and make himself a one-man dictator. Thank God his plan did not work. This is what only a selfish but power- greedy person would do to the people of this country. Democracy for the people of the United States of America has cracks in it as of right now. Voting rights for people in nineteen states are at stake, Texas included. Some statistics say more than 13,000 votes were thrown out in the 2022 March Primary election in the state of Texas alone.
Would you choose to have all government powers in the hands of one man such as Putin? People, please look at who is running for office and find out all you can about them. Then go out and vote. Vote not for a party name, but for the honest person whose character is truthful and caring for the rights of people who elect him or her and not self-power and money. There are elected people in federal and state government around the country who can’t think for themselves. They follow others and disregard honesty and those who voted to put them in office. They seem not to understand that there is a war between good and evil going on in the United States of America that could lead us to a one-man dictatorship. God bless America and the rights of its people.
