The Cherokee County Democrats Club will meet Thursday August 20, 2026, at the Woodmen of the World building 1800 Collete Street, Jacksonville, Texas 75766 from 6:00pm to 7:30pm.
The Club will have yard signs for candidates available. Voter Deputy Registrars will be present to assist voter's registration and to update voter's address to assure a voter qualifies in the upcoming election. The Club meeting is open to the public. To be a member one only had to vote in the Democrat Primary election.
The last meeting Yoland Prince who is running for the U.S. House Congressional District 1 representing East Texas and Cherokee County gave a presentation on the direction our country has taken and the lack of supervision over the current executive branch at the last meeting.
